1. Platform role — facilitator only

Get-Gig operates an online marketplace that helps customers discover and book independent service providers (including tradespeople and specialty accounts such as realtors). Get-Gig is a technology facilitator only. We do not employ providers, do not perform the underlying services, and are not a party to the service agreement between a customer and a provider except as expressly stated for payment processing facilitation.

2. Independent contractors and customers assume all risk

Providers are independent contractors (or independent licensed professionals). Customers are solely responsible for selecting a provider, verifying credentials and insurance, and supervising work on their property. Providers are solely responsible for the quality, safety, legality, and completion of their work, tools, and employees/subcontractors.

Any estimates, ratings, badges (including Get-Gig Picks), or matching scores are informational only and do not constitute a warranty, guarantee, or endorsement of any particular outcome.

3. Payments and escrow (demo vs production)

Payment authorization, escrow holds, and release flows may be simulated in demo environments or processed by third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe) in production. Platform fees may apply. Release of funds may require proof of work and admin review as described in the product. Chargebacks, refunds, and tax obligations remain the responsibility of the parties under applicable law and processor rules.

4. Liability waiver

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GET-GIG AND ITS OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO SERVICES ARRANGED THROUGH THE PLATFORM, WHETHER BASED IN CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STRICT LIABILITY, OR OTHERWISE — EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

You agree that any dispute regarding the quality or safety of services is between you and the other user (customer or provider). You release Get-Gig from claims arising out of interactions with other users, including property damage, personal injury, or financial loss, except where such release is prohibited by law.

Where liability cannot be excluded, Get-Gig's aggregate liability for claims relating to the platform shall not exceed the greater of (a) the platform fees you paid to Get-Gig in the three (3) months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

5. User content and reviews

You must not post personal identifying information about others (“doxxing”), unlawful content, or false statements in reviews or messages. We may remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules.

6. Trademark notice

References to third-party companies (including Facebook® / Meta® and TaskRabbit®) are for descriptive comparison only. All such trademarks are the property of their respective owners. Get-Gig is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.
